JennyHockey (nee Manning)

I am a baby boomer, born in 1946 in Cambridge where my parents had married and were living with my maternal grandfather. With only two bedrooms and little money, they chose not to have more children. After grammar school, the sixth form, I worked in Cambridge libraries before marrying at twenty-one and having two children within the following five years. University and a subsequent academic career occupied me from my thirties onwards. I now live in Sheffield and have three grandchildren.
